A Prayer for Today
“And the people stayed home and read books, and listened and rested, and exercised and made art, and played games, and learnt new ways of being, and were still, and listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some made their shadows.
And the people began to think differently.”
“And the people healed, and in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.”
“And then the danger passed and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live, and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.”
- Kitty O’Meara
A statement from South Hayling United Reformed Church
in regard to COVID-19
Unfortunately, because of the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19, all activities, lettings, hall bookings, including our Sunday morning services have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
We will continue to follow Government and Denominational advice on this and will aim to resume service as usual as soon as is possible.
In the meantime please keep safe and if you need any help please do not hesitate to contact us via email (see Contact Us) or on FaceBook at:
Hopefully we will be back to normal soon and when we are we hope the following services will resume:
Our Sunday Worship takes place at 11:00 am, where everyone is welcome to join us.
Holy Communion takes place on the first Sunday of each month
Junior Church for ages 3 to 10 and Youth Church for ages 11 to 18 begins halfway through the service when this group moves to the hall.
Children under 3 are welcome throughout the service (softbags containing books and quiet toys are located around the church), also there are toys and books in the link (foyer), where a speaker allows you to continue to hear the service, should you feel that you need to step out with your child. Toilets are equipped with baby changing facilities.
The Church is completely wheelchair friendly and has a number of disabled toilets easily accessible. We also feature a loop system for those of you that are hard of hearing, and larger print hymn books.
If you require any assistance please speak to one of our stewards who will greet you on arrival.
